Returns & Exchanges

POLICES FOR RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We are confident you will be happy with your purchase. However, if you are not satisfied with your jewelry, we will provide a refund or exchange (excluding shipping costs) within 14 days of receipt. Please note all international orders are final sale.

Returns and exchanges are limited to 3 transactions (ie original order > exchange for new item > exchange for new item). After that point a restocking fee of 30% will be assessed.

Please email  to notify us of your return before you send it back. You will receive an Return number. Items must be insured and in their original condition. For your protection please insure the package for the full purchase amount. We are not responsible for lost or damaged returns. We do not refund shipping charges, unless we have sent an item in error.

Please enclose your Name, Address, Order Number, Phone Number, and Reason for Return. If you are sending an exchange or repair, please also enclose $10 (cash or check) to cover the return shipping.

POLICIES FOR BLUE DOVE ARCHIVE / SALE ITEMS

All BLUE DOVE Archive / sale merchandise is final sale and are thus not eligible for return or exchange. No coupons may be used on sale merchandise.


POLICIES FOR ORDERS USING COUPONS

Only one coupon can be used per transaction.

Because we make all our jewelry to order and the price of our raw materials is so high, all orders purchased using a discount code or coupon are only eligible for an exchange or store credit. If you need to return an item that you purchased with a coupon code, we will gladly offer you store credit so that you can find the perfect replacement.

Store credits are valid for 6 months from the date of issue and must be used in a single transaction.


POLICIES FOR GIFTS

Items received as gifts may be exchanged for another item of equal or greater value.


POLICIES FOR INTERNATIONAL ORDERS

All international orders are subject to import taxes, customs duties and brokerage fees levied by the destination country and the recipient is responsible for paying these fees. Blue Dove has no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. These fees are imposed by the receiving company and are based on the retail value of the invoice. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for more information.


The customer is responsible for any and all shipping charges related to undeliverable packages (including return to sender fees). BLUE DOVE is unable to provide refunds for international orders if a customer declines to pay the duties and the package is treated as abandoned or returned to sender. Any fees that Blue Dove incurs in this or similar scenario will be billed to the recipient.


All international orders are final sale.

Shipping

TURN AROUND FOR ORDERS

We make all of our pieces by hand in our studio in Los Angeles. We do our best to turn orders around as quickly as possible  (usually 2 weeks) but some pieces can take up to 4 weeks to make.

If you need your jewelry by a certain date, please email to confirm that the item is in stock. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests but ordering with expedited shipping DOES NOT guarantee that your item will be shipped immediately.

Orders are processed, shipped and delivered Monday through Friday only. All orders placed on Saturday, Sunday or on a national holiday, will be processed the following business day.

Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number.

All birthstone rings are made to order and can take up to 3 weeks to ship.

SHIPPING RATES FOR DOMESTIC ORDERS

All orders are shipped insured via USPS. USPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.

Fees per order are as follows:

Continental USA Ground : FREE

Continental 3 Day: $15

Continental 2 Day: $25

Continental Next Day Saver: $50

Alaska or Hawaii Ground: $20

Alaska or Hawaii 3 Day: $30

Alaska or Hawaii 2 Day: $40

Alaska or Hawaii Next Day Saver: $80

The customer is responsible for any and all shipping charges related to undeliverable packages, including return to sender fees ($15) and fees for future shipments ($10 for USPS ground).

If you would like a package to be intercepted and re-routed to a new address, there is a $15 fee.

Canadian orders are shipped insured via DHL Express. Shipping time is 1-2 business days + however long the package takes in customs. Fees per order are $30.

All other international orders are shipped insured via DHL Express. Shipping time is 3 - 5 business days + however long the package takes in customs. Fees per order are $35.

DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?

All orders are subject to a 9% sales tax.


WHEN WILL MY CARD BE CHARGED FOR MY ORDER?

Your credit card will be charged for the full amount when the order is placed.


HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

We make all of our pieces to order by hand in our LA studio. We do our best to turn orders around as quickly as possible. Pieces can take 2-4 weeks to make. If you need something by a certain date or would like to expedite shipping, please make sure to put that in the comments section, or send us an email at

HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED?

Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email directly from us with your USPS tracking details for domestic orders or DHL tracking details for international orders. Be sure to check your SPAM folder as the emails can be re-directed there.

CAN I ORDER A RING IN HALF SIZES / LONGER CHAIN / WITH A DIFFERENT STONE / IN WHITE GOLD / GET IT ENGRAVED?

As most of our jewelry is made to order, we have a fair amount of flexibility when it comes to ring sizes, chain lengths, stone choices, and metal color. Please email us at  support@bluedove.com to discuss your customization options. Additional fees may apply and all sales are final for custom pieces. We do not accept any coupons on custom orders.



DO YOU DO SPECIAL ORDERS OR CUSTOM WORK?

WHERE IS YOUR JEWELRY PRODUCED?

All of our products are hand-fabricated by our team of skilled metalsmiths living in Los Angeles.



WHAT TYPE OF METAL IS USED IN BLUE DOVE JEWELRY?

Blue Dove only uses only 18K gold. The metal is specified in the product description.


WHERE DO THE STONES COME FROM?

All stones that we use are real. Our diamonds are SI1 quality unless otherwise stated. We source all our stones through reputable vendors based in the United States.


WHY DO THE STONES ON MY PIECE LOOK DIFFERENT THAN THOSE ON THE WEBSITE?


Our untreated stones can vary in size and color. Inclusions can occur naturally. Some stones are more opaque/vibrant (i.e. Ruby, Sapphire, Turquoise, Emerald, Onyx, Lapis), while others appear translucent/lighter in color (i.e. Peridot, Aquamarine, Tourmaline, Citrine). This is not within our control.

We believe these elements add to the beauty of the products.
